Education and courses · Sample scenario
Course selection assistant
A prospective student describes their goal and current knowledge, the assistant shows programs from the course catalog that meet the prerequisites with an explanation, and passes the case to an advisor.
Problem
Prospective students get lost among programs, do not know which level to start at, and leave the website without applying.
How it works today
Students contact the website chat or call, and the advisor asks the same questions (goal, experience, availability) every time and goes through the catalog by hand.
What this scenario changes
AI extracts the goal, current knowledge level and availability from what the student writes, the course catalog is searched, prerequisites are checked by rule, and matching programs are shown with the reason they fit. A conversation summary is passed to an advisor in the CRM.
The process step by step
- Student request: A goal is written on the website
- Goal and level extracted: The request is structured
- Catalog search: By field and schedule
- Prerequisites checked: Does the level fit the program
- Is there a suitable program?: At least 1 program meets the requirements
- Options explained: Why each one fits
- Options and handoff: The student sees options, the advisor gets a summary
Exception path
- Passed to an advisor: Personal advice with a summary
- Clear answer to the student: The student is told there is no suitable program
The role of AI
Extracts the goal, level and availability from free text and explains in plain language why the programs found fit the student.
Human approval and exceptions
If no suitable program exists in the catalog, the assistant says so clearly, does not present an unsuitable course as a “fit”, and passes the request to an advisor.
Frequently asked questions
Can the assistant suggest a course that is not in the catalog?
No. The search runs only on the current course catalog; if there is no suitable program, it says so clearly.
How is the student’s level determined?
From what the student writes. If an exact level is needed, the advisor can offer an extra interview or test.
Does the assistant discuss prices and discounts?
It only shows information published in the catalog; individual terms are agreed with the advisor.
